Three Concepts.
One Unimpressed Iguana.

Lychee needed an identity that was engaging and culturally sticky — a mascot-led brand for a highly technical Sonic Blockchain trading bot, built to stand out and foster community in a crowded analytical tools market.

The client provided a rough concept. My role was to synthesize that idea into a marketable mascot. I created and presented three distinct visual concepts before the final execution landed: the unimpressed iguana in a lychee suit.

That character then had to do everything — anchor a community, drive merchandise, and become a meme. In the Web3 space, your brand IS your community. Getting the mascot right was everything.

The brief was loose: something engaging, something sticky. I presented three distinct visual directions before landing on the final execution — the unimpressed iguana in a lychee suit. That specific energy, equal parts stoic and chaotic, was exactly right for a trading bot community. The mascot needed to say what the product couldn't: we're not serious. We're just seriously good.

The core identity was built for speed and client independence. A modular asset library — PNL card templates, PFP variations, and plug-and-play social marketing templates with placeholder copy — meant the community team could generate on-brand content immediately, without continuous design support. The brand could scale as fast as the community could grow.

In the analytical tools space, most brands compete on data density and credibility. Lychee competes on personality. The gritty, cel-shaded rendering style is a deliberate alignment with crypto-native aesthetics — a community that recognizes and rewards visual literacy. The PFP asset suite gives every community member a way to carry the brand, turning identity into belonging the moment the doors open.

The full identity system was delivered and approved. The founder chose to hold the launch following a broader market downturn — a prudent call in the Web3 space, where timing is everything. The brand is ready when the moment is.

In the meantime, this project stands as a complete, launch-ready identity for a technically sophisticated product: mascot, logotype, asset library, and plug-and-play community toolkit. Built to move fast when the green light comes.
